The COVID-19 pandemic still leads to numerous restrictions that affect both the economy and private individuals. Some countries are recording huge jumps in daily coronavirus infections while facing vaccine and hospital bed shortages. The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns have had a significant impact on events across the globe. This is a dynamic process and things are changing rapidly. Governments are applying sudden regulations to protect their community.
It is to be expected that events (e.g. trade fairs, conferences, training courses, company celebrations, and concerts) will remain unfeasible for the next few months, or at best will be able to take place under heavy restrictions in the last quarter of 2021. In view of the uncertainty about the feasibility of events that are usually planned well in advance, many organisers have therefore decided to cancel or postpone their events already in 2021 as well.
Several factors contribute to the likelihood of attendees getting and spreading COVID-19 at large events and this definitely creates risk for all of us. After close consultation with our partners in the event business and freight community around the world, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the INO Summit 2021. The health and safety of our group is of utmost importance to us! Having spent the past year preparing for the annual general meeting with our team and event partners, we're genuinely upset and disappointed not to be able to host you at this year. We are heartbroken and know this is a very challenging time for everyone, and appreciate your understanding and support. We remain excited to host you next year (INO Summit 2022) and will get back to you with more information on specific dates in the coming months.
Show must go on! It’s becoming clear that more and more event organizers prefer virtual events to replace their in-person events. INO Networks Group will be arranging online one to one meetings for the members during 13, 14, 15 September 2021, more details coming soon...
